Some Needles in a Haystack: Excellent Posts from Other Sites I've Read Lately

Here are some of the posts I've enjoyed reading lately.  Hope they're as encouraging and challenging to you as they were for me!

Longing for Nap-Time by Jessica at Our Family for His Glory.  I've not hidden the fact that I've been a little extra-weary lately.  With a too full plate and less than energetic motivation due to pregnancy, I've been feeling the sting of exhaustion more often than not.  It's hard for me to embrace that fact as having any kind of redeeming quality, but I love this encouragement from Jessica to not only accept that we have limitations, but use it as an opportunity to press hard into the Savior.  Definitely an encouragement I needed right now.

The Next Right Thing by Amanda at The Trifecta.  Here's another post this weary mama needed to read.  I've been struggling to be truly present in all aspects of life lately.  I'm in that exhausted sort of survival fog a lot more than I'd like to be these days.  Amanda's encouragement to just do "the next right thing" was just what I needed to read.  In fact, as I finished reading the post, Silas asked me to help him with a puzzle he had just spilled all over the floor.  Instead of telling him not to worry about it and that we'd clean it up later, I sat on the floor and did the puzzle with him and enjoyed some quality time with him.  Even though I "didn't have the energy" for it, I did what I felt I should and think doing this "one step at a time" approach during this little stage of life I'm in right now might prove to be a much better outlook than the overwhelmed big picture view I've been taking in for the past month or so....

Why Little Kids Need Big Biblical Words by Trevin Wax at The Gospel Coalition.  I thought this post presented a good argument for why we shouldn't shy away from using "big Bible words" with even the littlest of kiddos.
