Thoughts on Proverbs and Parenting

Before I continue with the "Salvation and Kids" discussion, I'm going to send you over to one of my favorite blogs, Desiring Virtue, where I'm guest posting today.

Ever wonder why some people "Train up their child in the way they should go" but unfortunately, their kids grow up and DO depart from it unlike Proverbs 22:6 suggests?

Or what about this fun bit of advice in Proverbs 26:4-5?

"Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself."

"Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes."

What do we do with that?!?
