Journal for Change
Starting TODAY, my Etsy shop is opening for you to browse and grab your very own, personalized journal! Here are just a few samples to give you an idea of what you'll find there. I've tried to make a variety of designs and styles to fit everyone's taste. Some are bold and colorful and some are muted and soft. Soon I'll be adding some for kids and even some for those who like to sew!
Each one is unique and I rarely have enough paper to make more than one of a style (though don't hesitate to ask, because I can for a few of them). After you choose a journal you like, you tell me what you want written on it (name, Scripture reference, "Prayer Journal", etc.) and I'll personalize it for you! You can choose up to 3 words and/or 20 characters. I'm charging $10 for each journal with about 70% (SEVENTY!) of that $10 going to the ACU! Hooray!

When you go to browse, there are categories on the left side of the page. Right now I've got cross designs, Africa silhouette designs, stripes, floral, birds, and a misc. category for all the stuff that didn't fit neatly into any of the others. I will be adding more soon!
If you know me and live near me, please order directly through me so you don't have to pay shipping. And for those of you who do have to pay shipping, it costs the same for up to 3 journals, so consider buying a few for upcoming birthdays or even Christmas so you get a little more bang for your buck! One of my favorite things is buying items that help others and make a great gift!!!
I'm starting up a facebook page that I'd love for to join too! I'll occasionally post journal stuff on When You Rise, but because I know that journals is not why most of you follow this site, I'll try not to bombard it with this new project. If you think you may want to order one down the road or want to see the newest styles I've added to my shop, be sure to like Journal For Change on facebook so you can see all the latest! And maybe help me spread the word by sharing it with your friends?
So, for out LAST giveaway in this big ol' celebration, I'm giving away 5 of these journals! Each winner will get to choose a journal from the Etsy shop and let me know how they'd like me to personalize it! I can't wait to see what styles everyone likes and start making some more! When you enter below, scroll down and make sure you're entered to win all the other giveaways because tomorrow is the big day!!! Every winner will be announced at the party tomorrow night (7-9pm CST) taking place on our facebook party page. Hope you'll be there and I hope you win something great!

Just ordered one :) I just want you to know how much I love your blog. I'm the mother of a very strong-willed but very special 2 1/2 year old girl and a 4 month little boy. I SO appreciate your honesty and attempt at Gospel-filled parenting. It is what I've been longing to do in my parenting and I'm so thankful to have others on this journey to help and encourage. I've shared your blog with 4 other moms in my life in the same season. Keep writing!
ReplyDeleteLyndsey, Thanks for your order and for your sweet words of encouragement!!! I'll ship it soon! :)-Desiré
DeleteDesiré these look great! I really like the Africa silhouette! I am very excited for tomorrow night and to see how God will use this blog in the future.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michelle! I think the African silhouette ones are my favorite too! But then again, just about anything Africa is my favorite. ;)
DeleteHow awesome ...what a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cindy! -Desiré
DeleteI think this is a fantastic idea! :) It brings me affirmation that my idea I have to raise money for a non-profit I'm starting in memory of my son is a good idea! I sew and quilt, and was thinking of making items to sell and donate all but the cost of materials to the non-profit. What a blessed thing you are doing, and I just adore your journals!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Africa silhouette! Our family is currently in France (learning French) preparing to move to Chad, Africa to work as Bible translators. So I've got Africa on the heart/brain, too! :)
