Reading Through the Bible with a 2 and 3 Year Old (and a giveaway of 5 copies of new and very influential book in my life)

Some of you may remember the crazy journey of reading through the Bible with my boys that I began a few months ago.  We are now finishing up Genesis and heading into Exodus.

I imagine that if you didn't read my review of this book a while back, that you might be a little skeptical.  I definitely was.

When I was first introduced to the book, Together: Growing Appetites for God, I wondered how in the world this could be done with boys as young as mine.  I quickly fell in love with Carrie's heart and idea as I read her book and think you will too.  You can find out a little more about how reading through the Bible with her family looked as well as how it's looking in mine in my review here.

This book is real, practical and doable... so much so that it made my list of favorite books and the anniversary giveaway!  Carrie has graciously donated 5 copies of her new book!  Enter below for your chance to win.  And, again, scroll down the list and make sure you get entered in all of the other great giveaways too!  All winners will be announced Thursday, September 6th.  I hope you'll join the facebook group to keep up with all of the newest giveaways and the discussions and so you can come to the party that announces all the winners!  (FYI:  You don't have to come to the party to claim your prize, BUT we're giving away some fun "extras" to those who can make it!)

  4. I'm super intrigued by this book. I went to Amazon and read the sample and was so encouraged. We've started reading scripture to our kids and then stop because they are usually hanging upside down from the couch or trying to see how many of their toes they can squeeze in their mouths {true story} and I've become frustrated. lol. If she persevered through stuff like that, I can too! Besides, I've allowed my 4 year old to drift in and out as we are reading books and I'm just shocked at how much he is internalizing!

Tomorrow, we'll dive into the adventure of reading through the Bible! :)

    1. Yay! :) (And I agree, I just love her examples of how it doesn't have to look "pretty" to be helpful)
