Easiest Way Ever to Memorize Scripture (and the next part of the giveaway!)

I've mentioned before that my biggest "trick" as I memorize Scripture with  my boys is to learn our verses set to music.  I have periods where I am very diligent to introduce new verses to the boys (and AWANA starts tonight at our church, so that should become part of our routine again!), but there are other times when I'm not as organized about it.  That's why I LOVE having Scripture set to music to play in the van when we drive around town.

For Easter each of the boys got a Rizers cd in their basket.  Now you know how much I love SEEDS Family Worship, but my boys pretty much listen exclusively to The Rizers right now.  The first thing Isaac says when we get in the van is, "Can you turn it to Rizers?"  And Silas requests the "Rollercoaster Song" over and over and over again.  (He calls the Proverbs 3:5-6 song this based on their video here).  It's no surprise to me that these songs are their favorite.  They are upbeat and even more kid-friendly than SEEDS (if that's possible).  They have more of a rocky sound and aren't quite as easy of listening for Mom and Dad, but they are high quality and I've memorized Scripture as a result and so have my boys, so I am thrilled to listen to them!  A million times.  Every day.  :)

All joking aside, what's more exciting than your kids begging to hear God's Word?  The Rizers have done an excellent job of creating a sound kids love and getting the Bible into their heads and hearts in a fun and memorable way.

The Rizers currently have 2 cds.  (Click on the links below to see the verses on each cd.  You can also download them on iTunes or Amazon.)

I'm thrilled to announce The Rizers cds as the next part of our giveaway.  They have donated 2 of each of their cds, so 4 of you will get to add a fantastic Scripture memorization album to your collection.  (The first two winners will receive Meet the Rizers and the second two will receive The Rizers Rise Up!)  Just enter the giveaway below and we'll announce the winners on Thursday, September 6th with all of the rest of the giveaways (keep scrolling down to enter those as well!).  There's still time to join the facebook group where all of the winners will be listed and you can join discussions and find out about all the newest giveaways.

  1. I would love to win the CD's. I have heard of SEEDS before but not Rizers. I checked out the video link - very cute! I think my girls would enjoy the songs.

  5. Love these resources and haven't actually heard of some of them that you are giving away... And I thought I knew about most of the things on this topic. :) We aren't doing AWANA this year and so I'm putting together a memory plan for us for the year. AWANA really opened my eyes to how MUCH they were able to remember and learn each week.

Scripture memory plays such a powerful role in my life and I'm so thankful for the emphasis on Bible memory that my parents took with us when we were growing up. It has been such a blessing in my life.
