Giveaway - Jesus Calling

I close my eyes and I can remember the weariness. I can feel the body aching for rest. I can hear the small baby waking to eat. Again. And then again. 


Being a new mama is exhausting. It is wonderful and beautiful and miraculous and all of that, but it is also just plain exhausting. I can say this with absolute confidence because I was just there....in some ways I feel like I still am. Or at least like I am just coming out of the hard parts (for me), nursing and not sleeping through the night. 


In the haze and weariness of being a new mama I found myself with a devotional book in my hands. I knew I wasn't going to have time (or the brains) for deep study right away and yet I did not want to miss time with God. Enter the book, Jesus Calling, by Sarah Young. It was my life source in those early months of world spinning and diaper changes and crazy days. And, it is still a devotional book I choose to pick up daily.


You don't have to be a new mom or a busy mom or a even a mom to love this devotional. You just have to have a heart ready to hear scripture spoken over your life. The passages are manageable and have left me feeling encouraged and refreshed...even on those days I have felt everything but.
