Seeds of Character Review

So, we are in LOVE with a series of cds called Seeds.  I don't think we could more highly recommend them. 


Seeds is a ministry that takes Scripture and sets it to high quality music. We all know how much easier it is to memorize and learn something when it's put to music.  But we also all know how incredibly annoying somewhat unpleasant those tunes can sometimes be.  Don't get me wrong, I've made up my share of nerve-grating jingles to help myself and Isaac learn something, but it's so much more enjoyable when you actually like the words AND the music!  My husband and I catch ourselves singing these songs all the time and I frequently leave the cd on even if the boys aren't in the van with me.


Beside the fact that these cds are easy listening, our number one reason for recommending them is that it's just one more thing we can do to help saturate our families' lives with the Word of God.  They even offer free memory card printables and ideas for family devotions based on the verses on their site!


We love their newest cd, Seeds of Character, particularly because it has so many verses relevant to parenting and family life.  It includes Galatians 5:16 &22 (the fruit of the Spirit), Deuteronomy 6:4-7 (the passage that this blog's name is based on), Ephesians 6:1-4 (the relationship between children and their fathers.  You can see our memorization post and printables that we did with it here.) and Colossians 3:12 & 14a (a song about putting on love) just to name a few.  I've already reminded Isaac how his behavior lines up with God's Word (for the good or the bad) on many occasions using the verses found on this cd.

So have I convinced you enough of it's awesome-ness?  :)  If I haven't, all of their cds come with TWO identical copies of the disc.  One for you and one for a friend!  A blessing for your family and for someone else's (or you could split the cost with someone!)  You can't tell me that doesn't place them in the realm of awesome-ness!
